NC's On That "Kooley High"

A couple months back I was intent on catching 2 shows in one night in Raleigh, NC...One at The Berkeley Cafe, the other at The Pour House, literally almost walking distance from one to the other. I made it to both and was glad I didn't miss one of North Carolina's "Super Group's"...KOOLEY HIGH! 


Made up of 6 extremely talented artists hailing from the Raleigh area of North Carolina. Kooley High members first joined up as a hip hop organization ran by students at NC State. Tab One, Charlie Smarts, and Rapsody are the forefront emcee's, Foolery and Sinopsis  produce the beats and Ill Digitz works the crowd from the tables. This was my 1st time seeing them in action as a group. I was definitely missing out! The groups energy on stage was crazy and went viral throughout the crowd. Performing tracks from their newly released "David Thompson" album (Nov. 2011), Kooley High kept the fans engaged and hype.



Since that show, I've checked out who Kooley High is and the music they've been putting out. The individual artists from this team are just as impressive solo. Charlie Smarts and Tab One double time their talent with the Hip Hop group "Inflowential", Rapsody is one of the leading artists of 9th Wonder's JAMLA Records label and Sinopsis released "The Buzz Factory: Vol 1" in January of this year to DJBooth.net which features tracks from M1 Platoon, King Mez, Sean Boog, Kooley High and more. With quality videos consistently being put out and music that reaches all age groups, Kooley High is one piece of NC's Hip Hop scene that proves our state has some of the best talent out here.
