Jean Grae..."Kill Screen"

I decided to step outside of "the box" or "the State" and feature one of the most original female emcee's that I've had the chance to meet, Jean Grae. She stays true to herself and to her music and I respect that with all the "following" going on in the Industry. Jean was born in South Africa but raised in New York and started her music career there. She left New York University after a short stay with the knowledge of what she needed and wanted already within her. After several links with hip hop groups, and stage name changes, Jean Grae has settled nicely into her present self.

Being a huge fan of female's paving their way in a mostly male dominated industry, and the fact that one of my favorite NC Producers/emcees, K-Hill, has recorded with Jean (Smashmouth on her "Jeanius" album in collaboration with 9th Wonder), I had to get this video posted. "Kill Screen" plays like a psychological drama short film. Hidden messages flash throughout that are hard to catch (I had to almost go frame by frame) but explain the sequence of this crazy video. This was shot, directed AND edited by Jean Grae herself! You Go Girl!!!
